California Project

This tenement encompasses part of the historic Stannery Hills district which was a significant tin producing area in the early part of the 20th century. The area consists mainly of metasediments and granitoids of the O’Briens Creek Supersuite, together with parts of the Featherbed Volcanics, Ootann Supersuite and Almaden Supersuite. Numerous tin, tungsten, molybdenum, copper, silver and lead deposits occur within the tenement.

The tenements held by Kangaroo Metals Limited cover a significant portion of the region surrounding the Gilmore tin mine which was a significant producer in the region. Several intrusive bodies within the tenement represent significant targets and geophysics and geochemistry will help identify regions of further interest to the company.

Exploration Plan

The California tenement is divided into three regions north to south. The north is a mixture of intrusive bodies, the middle is tin-bearing, while the south is a clear circular intrusion complex with associated copper mineralisation.

Kangaroo Metals Limited will focus primarily on the two southern regions examining the copper-molybdenum potential through essentially greenfield exploration, while the tin exploration will focus on historic regions which include mine such as the Gilmore complex.

Strategy

The California Project will commence in late 2007 with an aeromagnetic survey of the southern regions to develop a geological model of the tenement. This, in combination with ground mapping and geochemical surveys, will identify areas of interest to be advanced in the second quarter of 2008.
